What the hardware does

An existing effects pedal processes a real instrument signal through custom amp models.

How the agent helped

Roman Rusinov directly describes learning vibe-coding and experimenting with hardware limits in The Verge interview.

Before you build

Current released effects install as custom ZDL files over USB on the original MS-70CDR, with firmware 2.10 as the primary target; no complete firmware reflash is required for this route. Back up effects and patches first. Plus models use a different format and are not interchangeable. The creator names AI assistance, not an exact coding agent.

The current repository installs custom ZDL effects over USB; it explicitly says a whole-device firmware reflash is not required for the released effects. Preserve backups and avoid diagnostic probe builds.

Confirm before buying

  • The exact original-generation product and manufacturer retailer links are identified; individual retailer stock and used-unit condition are not verified.

Quantities are for one build. Unless marked source-specified, they are planning quantities; confirm kit contents and the chosen configuration before ordering.
